In a rearranged game due, ironically, to a waterlogged pitch prior to the original fixture, Charlton Park visited the drill ground where they played out a fairly turgid game in what can only be described as monsoon type conditions. The already 'sticky' pitch ensured that both teams found it difficult to string many meaningful passages of play together. Again, Park were masters of their own downfall in failing to convert early pressure into points and with the hosts scoring 2 tries (albeit one from a lucky bounce of the ball) this meant that they took the 4 points after a sodden (that's sodden) referee called the game early due to his concerns over player welfare.
