Your Rugby Fix Between Six Nations Weekends

With the final round of the Six Nations wrapped up—and England inevitably preparing to be humbled by France—league rugby takes a brief pause. But fear not. If you’re craving a proper, competitive hit of the good stuff, Charlton Park RFC has you covered.

On Tuesday 17 March, under the bright Kidbrooke lights, the University of Greenwich and City St George’s University go head‑to‑head in a varsity clash that might not have the global pull of Oxford v Cambridge or Exeter v Bath… but for these students, this is the one. Pride, bragging rights, and campus honour are all on the line.

Under the Lights – Bring Your Sunglasses

This one’s being played under the floodlights, and ours don’t mess about. Expect big hits, big noise, and a proper gladiatorial contest as both sides look to make their mark on neutral turf.

Expect Fire. Expect Noise. Expect Drama.

Varsity rugby always brings something extra—energy, chaos, passion, and the kind of commitment you only get when players are representing more than just a team.

This is going to be physical. It’s going to be loud. It’s going to be fun.
