We know the nativity never happened at Charlton Park because they couldn't find three wise men or a virgin, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate Christmas in style. We fully expect to see some merry gentlemen in need of a rest.

The final VP lunch of the year will be our Christmas dinner. We've a new chef joining us. We'll be having the traditional meal with all the trimmings.

Whealie needs to know final numbers by Tuesday next week - that's close of play Tuesday 12th December.

Kick-off against our friends, Darts, is at 2pm. To ensure plenty of time we'll be aiming to sit down shortly after midday. Please assemble in the bar from 11.30am. The price is £25 per head. Please bring cash.

We can cater for vegans, vegetarians and any dietary requirements but we need to know in advance - we won't be able to magic up a gluten-free, vegan, nutless cutlet out of thin air if you don't tell us until two minutes before sitting down.

Did I mention Whealie needs to know final numbers by Tuesday next week - that's close of play Tuesday 12th December? No excuses and no exceptions. Santa will know whether you have been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.
