It is with regret that we report the death of Raymond Smith.Ray died on November 13 after battling with stomach cancer for just over a year.
A loyal member of the club for approximately 50 years, Ray was responsible for marking out the pitches both at Pippenhall and latterly Broad Walk until last season and was made a vice president in recognition of his long and loyal service.
He leaves behind his wife Tam, Daughter also Tam, Son Fabian in Australia as well as four grand children, two of them in Australia.
Our thoughts are with them all.
Ray's funeral will be held at Falconwood Crematorium on Monday December 11 at 15.30 for those who wish to attend.
The family have requested no flowers but would rather donations be made to Cancer Research.
