Playing Code of Conduct and Motto

Charlton Park RFC is committed to:

• Being the best rugby club it can;
• Providing an environment where all can enjoy playing rugby at a level that is appropriate to them;
• Giving our members opportunities to improve their rugby skills and their fitness; and
• Being a club where every team sets out to win every time that it takes to the field.

This code of conduct relates to the playing of rugby at Charlton Park. It applies to every single player in every team at the club.

OUR VALUES AND STANDARDS
We enjoy our rugby and aspire to being the best rugby club we can – looking to perform to our potential in every game we play, looking to win the competitions that we enter.

We play as a club and we foster team spirit – Charlton Park is one club, and its teams work together for each other on the pitch, and socialise together off it.

We have a culture of training – all players should aspire to become better skilled and fitter rugby players, and the club will provide coaching opportunities to support this.

We support aspiration – all players who want to improve are able to do so and players have the opportunity to rise through the teams on merit.

We respect our opposition and referees – the traditions of rugby have a home at Charlton Park. We are proud to be a welcoming rugby club. Every member of Charlton Park respects the laws of the game.

We develop young players – players moving up from the youth to the senior section can expect to do so in a supportive environment that develops their talents and makes them feel part of the club.

We are proud of our club – It is the responsibility of each player to conduct himself in an orderly manner when representing the club, either on or off the pitch – when wearing the club crest it is important members do not discredit the name of Charlton Park.

‘Deeds not words’ – at all times, we adhere to the club motto.
