Club Planning
Over the past months we have been engaged in
planning for the next year's budget and for the club's next five
years.
Following the huge success of the youth section,
planning for next year focuses on the youth and playing sides of the
club. This is also supported by sponsors, who have demonstrated
extraordinary generosity towards these areas, and the RFU, who have
given us a wonderful grant towards the floodlights. We hope to arrange
a formal opening ceremony to advertise the fact that we are one of the
few clubs in the county with two floodlit pitches.
In addition, we acknowledge that the clubhouse
needs constant attention and this also features in preliminary budget
arrangements. In order to scotch any rumours that may be flying
around, however, I need to stress that these are only proposals and
they need to be ratified by the committee at its next meeting on
Monday 7th July, and then can be discussed at the AGM - date still
uncertain but will be before the season begins.
The following is a taste of where we are
going:
- Floodlights are now installed on the second
pitch
- First team pitch lighting has been improved
- Training equipment
- New posts for first two pitches
- Moves to reduce our excessive utility bills
- New gym equipment
- Improved clubhouse security and disabled
access
